New Years day skiing at Ellenwood Park

What  great way to kick off the New Year!!!

The snow is great out at Ellenwood Park. The path has been cleared for walking. The cabin will be open about 1 pm on Tuesday, January 1 ,2013.  As of today {Monday} there is no power in the cabin.

The woodstove will warm up the cabin. There will be an impromtu Pot Luck at 3 on January 1, so come out and join us. Remember with no power we will have limited hot water to make coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Events of interest 2012

Sunday, November 18, from 1 to 3. AN INTRODUCTION TO TREPA at Ellenwood Park – John Sollows will discuss the history of TREPA, the role TREPA plays in environmental protection, current projects, past successes and how you can get involved. All ages are welcome. Meet at the ski cabin.

Sunday, November 25, from 1 to 3. PINE CONE FEEDERS  at Ellenwood Park -Deanna Nauss, Forestry Technician, DNR, will show us how we can create our own suet bird feeder, in our own style. The birds will love these feeders this winter. They will make great gifts for friends and family. All materials provided. All ages welcome, meet at lower cabin. A car shuttle will be available, for anyone with mobility issues, leaving the gate at 12:55.
